Perky Pork Chops

Here is a pork chop recipe sent in by a visitor.

  • 4 loin pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • salt, pepper and flour
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • few drops of Tabasco sauce

Directions:

Combine flour with salt and pepper. Coat chops with the seasoned flour. Heat skillet over medium heat with oil, brown chops on both sides. Drain off excess fat. Combine 1/4 cup hot water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, pineapple juice, ketchup and Tabasco sause. Pour over pork chops. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour or until pork chops are tender.
Serves 4
